From speculative design and engineering research, Cristina is a PhD student in Experimental Sciences within the line of systemic transitions and experimentations (UVic-UCC, 2024–present), where she envisions urban futures where biology, robotics, and art converge to explore new forms of interspecies coexistence.

With a background in Product Design and Industrial Design Engineering (Elisava–UPF, 2017–2023) and a Master’s degree in Applied Design Research (Elisava–UVic-UCC, 2023–2024), she merges robotics and programming to create devices and scenarios that question the technological ecologies of the present.

Her experience includes work in robotic engineering, 3D prototyping R&D, visual conceptualization, and multidisciplinary workshops focused on experimental practices. She has participated in projects and exhibitions such as Anarqueologia d’un camp (Centre d’Arts Sant Cugat, 2025) and the 2023 Venice Biennale (Croatian Pavilion, Feral Drifting with Lonja Wetlands).

Through her practice, she constructs hybrid urban narratives that bring debate on how to rethink future urban environments. And she’s still working on finishing ‘a’ Tower of Babel.
