Evita Stavrou

Evita (Evanthia) Stavrou is an artist and program manager focused on creative and cultural projects, specializing in reusable materials and origami, with over a decade of experience in independent events, curation, and project production. She has worked as a creative producer and events director for international cultural events, with a focus on the arts, music, and community awareness campaigns.

Her main medium is paper and natural materials, inspired by the beauty of nature, light and shadow, architecture, and geometry. She discovered her passion for paper crafting through creating personalized paper gifts, experimenting with techniques like newspaper basket weaving and exploring the contrast between fragility and strength of paper. In recent years, she has shifted to interactive installations using paper as the main material, with projects that engage the community and address social issues, particularly gender inequality and gender-based violence.
