Project Highlight: E-ART Project

Sustainability is not just a trend; it’s a necessity woven into the fabric of our everyday lives. The E-ART project recognizes this imperative, aiming to revolutionize the art industry by championing the use of sustainable materials and practices. Here’s a glimpse into our mission:

Objectives

  • Promoting Sustainable Materials: We strive to introduce and emphasize the importance of sustainable materials in art creation, paving the way for a greener future.
  • The Raising Awareness: Through collaboration with the art and public sectors, we aim to shed light on the crucial role of sustainability and climate protection in artistic endeavours.
  • Skill Enhancement: We are committed to upskilling and reskilling art professionals, equipping them with innovative techniques and knowledge to embrace sustainability.

🎨 Art’s Role in the Green Transition: Art has a unique ability to convey messages that resonate deeply with audiences, making it a powerful tool in advocating for sustainability. However, the lack of standardized practices poses challenges we are determined to address.

News Highlights

🌍 Mapping Sustainable Practices: Our recent research delved into the national and

international landscape of sustainable artistry, uncovering a diverse range of approaches. From traditional methods to contemporary innovations, artists are forging paths towards a more sustainable future. We collected 30 inspiring initiatives and best practices from Italy, Sweden, Spain, Ireland, Greece and Bulgaria. You can check our Handbook on our website.

🤝 Building a Community: Sustainability in the art can often feel isolating, but our Roundtables offer different ways to build a community around sustainability, the art and craft sector, with a large scale of profiles: artists, curators and experts.  We collected the needs of the sector and tried to analyze the most important skills and capacities to have for future professional roles in society to shape a more sustainable way of making art and craft with low impact in the environment.  The objective is to build a new Curriculum for training artist who will be the actors of this movement of change.

Takeaway: Whether you’re an individual artist or part of a larger organization, our resources aim to empower you on your sustainability journey.

Let’s create art that not only captivates but also contributes to a healthier planet.
